IE's Junior Advisory Board serves to provide a worldly and youthful perspective to IE University. The board is made of members who are still in high school so that IE can understand and appreciate the expectations of the rising university student and incorporate their excitement and insight into its dynamic educational programs. The board members are evaluated on their demonstrated independence of mind, academic excellence, verbal skills, creativity and strong ties to their community. Board members are outstanding members of their community and serve as joint representatives of their communities to IE, and also of IE in their communities. IE’s Junior Advisory Board represent five regions of the world; Europe, United States of America, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Junior Advisory Board members are expected to attend an annual board meeting in Madrid and Segovia and contribute their ideas about the ways in which IE University can understand and therefore market to the university-bound student. The board members serve a term of two years. At the completion of the first term of service, if a board member has demonstrated outstanding commitment, shown true leadership and given true insight, they will qualify for consideration for an 80% scholarship to IE University. In order to be considered for admission to the Junior Advisory Board, candidates must fill in the Application Form and present two letters of recommendation by someone from within the IE community, or a professor. All travel and lodging costs related to Junior Advisory Board meetings will be covered by IE University. The next edition of IE University’s Junior Advisory Board takes place from March 27th to 30th. IE University is currently accepting applications for the Junior Advisory Board. Applications will be accepted until December 21nd, 2012.
